FOUNDERS

WILL NEWBOLT

FOUNDER & DIRECTOR

A young man in a colorful African pattern shirt and black shorts posing indoors on a wooden bench in a rustic setting with a high ceiling and wooden beams, with other people visible in the background.

I’ve always believed that sport is a universal language. No matter where you’re from, what language you speak, or what background you have, sport brings people together in ways few things can. It creates connection instantly, and that connection can be powerful.

For the past ten years, I’ve been travelling across Africa, and Ghana completely stole my heart. It’s my ultimate passion.

The boys are smiling, one wearing a maroon soccer jersey and green shorts, the other in a blue soccer jersey and green shorts. Ghana means a lot to me, both personally and through my work there over the last 10 years. I started Future Stars Charity to help young people through football and education. This work has taken me into schools and communities in Accra & Tema.

Those experiences have shown me how important sport is in building confidence, creating opportunities, and bringing people together at a local level.
